How It's Really Going with Shana Recker
How It’s Really Going is where I share real conversations about midlife, business, health, and identity.
I'm a midlife woman, wife, and entrepreneur navigating perimenopause, ADHD, body changes, and the evolving reality of running a business in midlife. This podcast isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about talking honestly through the highs, the lows, and the messy middle, without pretending everything is fine.
Some episodes focus on hormones, health, and feeling at home in your body again. Others focus on business, creativity, burnout, reinvention, and what it actually looks like to build a life and career that still fits as you change.
This is a solo show by design.
No interviews.
No performance.
Just real reflection, lived experience, and conversations.
Earlier episodes reflect a previous chapter of my work in network marketing, mindset, and business coaching. This podcast has evolved as I have, into something more grounded, more personal, and more honest.
If you’re a midlife woman building a business, questioning old identities, or trying to feel like yourself again, you’re in the right place.

Perimenopause Unfiltered: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly
Note: This episode was recorded earlier for a previous project I’ve since closed. I’m sharing it here because the message still holds value. You may hear older references.
Perimenopause isn’t just hot flashes — I’m sharing what’s really going on, the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
In this episode of How It’s Really REALLY Going, I’m keeping it real — like, really real — about my personal experience with perimenopause.
I’m sharing the good (yes, there is good!), the bad, and the downright ugly parts of this season. From finally caring less about what other people think, to the itchy skin, sleepless nights, and that next-level rage no one prepares you for — it’s all here.
This isn’t medical advice — I’m not a doctor. This is just my story and what’s helped me feel a little more normal along the way. If hearing this helps you feel seen and less alone, then that’s what matters.
Some of the things that have helped me:
✅ My Weighted Vest – my go-to for walking and keeping my mind clear
✅ Felix Health – where I got real support when my doctor didn’t have answers
✅ Supplements I take (These the ones I purchased: CLICK HERE)
- Creatine
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B Complex
- Magnesium Glycinate (at night)
- L-Theanine
- Ashwagandha
There are a ton of products being pushed at us right now — please do your research and don’t feel like you need to buy every gummy or powder that shows up in your feed. I’m just sharing what’s worked for me. Always talk to your doctor first!
💛 If this episode resonates, share it with a friend who might need to hear it.
We’re in this together, and I promise this won’t be the last time we talk about it.
Thank you all so much for listening!
